"Gideons visited my school in Arua, Uganda. One Gideon shared who the Gideons are and what they do. He talked to nearly 400 of us and also explained about the New Testaments they brought with them.
This same Gideon then told about the need for us to trust Christ and to ask Him into our lives so that we could go to heaven after life on this earth. Then the Gideon asked if anyone of us wanted to pray for salvation. No one stood up for a while. I was sitting in the middle of the group. I felt God was calling me, and I stood up and said, 'I want to commit my life to Christ and pray the sinner’s prayer.'
Even after the Gideons asked several times if anyone else wanted to join me, no one did. I prayed with the Gideons and received Christ right in front of the other students. An older man who works in my school stood beside me to give his support, and an older woman asked if she could speak to the other students. She told them that the Gideons had brought them that morning something of more value (New Testaments) than if they had been given all of the money in the world."
